Waco, Texas in conjunction with TSGS Annual Conference at We will be offering an Ancestor Roadshow at this event and will need roadshow and booth volunteers. The roadshow will be offered Friday afternoon and possibly during breaks on Saturday. The partner genealogical society in Waco is planning some events on Thursday, 4 November. Roadshow consultations will be offered Friday afternoon at the same time as the breakout sessions. Consultants will be free to attend the Friday morning sessions presented by Teri Flack and the Saturday sessions presented by Barbara Vines Little, CG. You must register for the conference through TSGS to attend those sessions. Our chapter meeting will be held in the conference hotel during the lunch break on Saturday. We will elect officers for 2011 during this meeting. Please contact Sue if you would like to volunteer. |

Meeting Registration Form and Lunch Reservation Patricia Law Hatcher, FASG, will present a lecture based on her chapter in Professional Genealogy: A Manuel Researchers, Writers, Editors, Lecturers and Librarians, on Time Management: Is there Hope for the Over-Committed, Behind- Schedule, Frazzled Genealogist? We will begin our meeting at 11 am, lunch will be served and we will have a tour of the genealogy section of the Waco Library following our meeting. We will also have a brief business meeting during the lunch hour. This event is free and open to all our members and guests. There is a charge for lunch. |

1st Meeting | 12 April 2008 | 11:00am | No fee for this meeting. We will break after the meeting for lunch on our own and have time for research in the afternoon. Our guest speaker will be Susan Kaufman of the Clayton Library who will introduce members to the new resources available. Please notify Ranee or Nicole if you plan to attend. MEETING PLACE CHANGED TO University of St. Thomas Malloy Hall, 1st Floor, Room 113 Malloy Hall is located directly southwest of the Chapel of St. Basil (large gold dome, can't be missed). Visitor parking is available on-street as well as in the Moran Center Parking Garage adjacent to Malloy Hall (at the corner of West Alabama and Graustark). The cost to park in the parking garage is $2. The closest available on-street parking is on Graustark and Yoakum, both of which run north/south from West Alabama. All on-campus parking lots are reserved for students and faculty. Parking in a permit-required lot will result in towing. (Malloy Hall is building #11 (green) on this map.) |
